Ilford Delta 100

So, I finally convinced Grant Robertson local photographer and shop owner extraordinaire to accompany me on a photographic tour of downtown Columbia and West Columbia's River Walk. He was very kind to accept my invitation considering the very dull and pedestrian subject matter our tour offered. But being a novice photographer I am jumping at the chance to develop new images. The complicated reeling of the exposed film in a dark closet, hoping during the entire process that I've finally gotten it reeled correctly and that there will be no fingerprints, mixing dangerous chemicals in exact round-abouts, and pouring over and over - until the agitation is complete and I can finally see my mistakes and successes... It is addictive.
So for this trek into our southern city, I went with Ilford's Delta 100. Mainly because I knew it would be sunny and this is a cheap film. The photos are grainy and some are in focus so we won't consider this a waste of an afternoon. Especially because of the "MAIN" shot. I love this image. It's very difficult to make proper typography look bad in my opinion. I'll continue to try my darnedest.
